Yohani Diloka de Silva popularly known as ‘Rap Princess of Sri Lanka’ is a singer, songwriter, rapper who rose to prominence and gained global recognition for her cover of ‘Manike Mage Hithe’.
She emerges as not only the cultural ambassador of Sri Lanka but also as a genre-breaking force of nature who intermingles pop, R&B and hip hop. During her childhood, she even learnt to play piano, trumpet and guitar.
Yohani started her music career as a Youtuber and got a lot of recognition for the rap cover of ‘Deviyange Bare’ post which she released many covers of her singing and rapping different songs.
She is the first Sri Lankan female singer to surpass a total of 3.39 million subscribers on YouTube. Her song ‘Manike Mage’ has over 222 million views.
Yohani’s latest single ‘Moving On’ is her first release in English and she is all set to release her debut album in 2022.
She also was featured in ‘Bigg Boss season 15’ where she performed her famous songs with Salman Khan.
She also was featured in a Colors TV Quiz Show ‘The Big Picture’ where she performed her famous song with Ranveer Singh.
The Hindi version of the song ‘Manike Mage Hithe’ from the movie ‘Thank God’ got released in 2022 too.
